Experiment by clicking different areas of the toolbar and see what happens, or:

  • Drag the Address and Links labels in any direction to move and resize the bars.
  • Click the Address and Links labels to minimize and maximize the bars.
  • Drag the bottom of the toolbar up or down to hide or show the text labels under the buttons.

Choose What You Want on the Toolbar

Some people like toolbars fully loaded with options. Others like the lean look. Now you can choose for yourself what appears on the Internet Explorer toolbar.

  1. Click View, and then click Options.
  2. In the Toolbars area, select or clear the Standard, Links, and Address Bar check boxes to see how the toolbar is affected.

Change the Links Bar

  1. Click Links on the toolbar if it doesn't appear already.
  2. On the View menu, click Options.
  3. On the Navigation tab, click the arrow to the right of Start Page to pick the hyperlink. Experiment and change the links until you get just what you want.

Customize Your Favorites Menu

With all the cool new Web sites popping up daily, your Favorites list can get pretty unruly. Now you can organize and save your favorite sites by type, making it easier and quicker to find the one you're looking for.

  • Save this page on your Favorites list by clicking Favorites and then clicking Add To Favorites.
  • Organize your Favorites list by clicking Favorites and then clicking Organize Favorites.
Anything you can do with a file, such as copying, deleting, moving, or including it in a mail message, you can do with the contents of your Favorites list.
