Pegasus Mail: Single User
- Because you clicked the first button on the Setting up mailboxes dialog box
(indicating that your intention is to configure Pegasus Mail for a single account), the
Setup information dialog box appears.
This dialog box is asking you to specify the directory where your mail-related files should be
stored. Pegasus Mail allows you to store your mail-related files in a directory unrelated to the
directory where the executable files are stored. The default directory is C:\PMAIL\MAIL.
If while installing Pegasus Mail, you chose to put Pegasus Mail in a directory other than the
default C:\PMAIL, you may wish to change the default directory name. For example, if
you installed Pegasus Mail to C:\PROGRAM FILES\PMAIL, you may want to name the
directory for the mail-related files C:\PROGRAM FILES\PMAIL\MAIL.
- When you are satisfied with the name of the directory, click the OK button. The
Windows 95 Users dialog box appears.
- Read the contents of the Windows 95 Users dialog box and note it for future
reference. Click the OK button. The Using WINSOCK.DLL dialog box appears.
- Click the Yes button. The Pegasus Mail Options and Preferences Settings
dialog box appears.
- Type stonemedia.com in the POP3 host field.
- Type your StoneMedia username in the User name field.
- Type your StoneMedia Password in the Password field.
- Type stonemedia.com in the SMTP field.
- Click the OK button. The Pegasus Mail Options and Preferences Settings
dialog box disappears and the Pegasus Mail main screen is revealed underneath.
The configuration of Pegasus Mail for a single account is complete. You are now ready to
begin using Pegasus Mail.
